The Challenge

Senior Waste partnered with us to improve their visibility and generate more business online. In particular, they also wanted help improving domain authority so the site could compete more effectively in the waste removal niche.

The challenge was that they were on our lowest-tier SEO package, which limited the amount of content we could produce each month. That meant growth would be slower compared to higher-tier campaigns, and we had to make sure that every piece of work delivered maximum impact.


The Strategy

In order to achieve the client’s goals, we knew that we’d need to grow their keyword presence by winning more page one rankings and boosting positions across the board, and implement a strong backlinking plan to increase domain authority per their goals.

With the client being on our entry-level package, we built a strategy designed to squeeze the most out of every action. This began with thorough keyword research to uncover realistic opportunities, focusing on both commercial and informational terms. From there, we planned to re-optimise existing pages to align better with search intent, while also planning new content that could funnel users toward service pages and build topical authority. We’d also be addressing technical SEO issues as they were identified.

The Execution

We rolled out a content plan that prioritised clarity and conversion, with articles and service-driven content designed to capture search traffic and lead users towards booking waste removal services. Backlinking efforts focused on quality over quantity, securing placements that strengthened domain authority and reinforced topical relevance.

Keyword checks and competitor analysis were carried out regularly to make sure the campaign stayed on track and adapted to shifts in the market. Local SEO tactics were also applied to improve visibility in targeted geographical areas and deliver more bang-per-buck, while also ensuring Senior Waste could reach users and capture highly relevant search traffic in the places that mattered to them.

The Results

Over 14 months, this lean but effective approach helped Senior Waste strengthen its search presence, improve authority, and establish a stronger foundation for ongoing digital growth. Let’s take a look at some of the data that bears this out:

Firstly, let’s take a look at one of the client’s core goals – improving Domain Authority. The two screenshots below illustrate clearly that while working with us, Senior Waste’s Domain Authority increased from 13 to 17, so it’s ‘mission accomplished’ here!



Next up, increasing Keyword presence. The screenshots below are two readouts detailing total keyword rankings and positions – one taken at the start of the project and the other at the end. By comparing the two, we can see that:

  • The project started with the client holding 36 keyword rankings in total, and 6 on page one.
  • At project close, we had helped them to 117 total keyword rankings (a 225% increase), and a further 2 page one rankings, for 8 a total.

As a result, though results here may have been modest compared to some of our other projects, we still delivered the extra keyword rankings and page one positions that the client was looking for!
