Pocket Creatives is a London-based video production and photography team with over 16 years’ experience in the creative industries. The team produces high-quality video and photography that reflects both technical skill, and a genuine passion for visual storytelling.

Pocket Creatives needed stronger online performance. They wanted to grow traffic, clicks, and conversions, while also improving their keyword rankings — especially their number of page one positions. Their aim was to expand the total keyword footprint and push existing rankings higher.
At the same time, the site had practical issues holding it back. Some of the main pages were too long and not user-friendly. The design and navigation needed a better balance between visual appeal and usability. On top of that, there were many technical SEO problems limiting visibility and making it harder for the site to compete in search.
We started with a full site audit to see what was holding the website back. That meant reviewing existing pages, mapping out technical issues, and benchmarking against direct competitors. From there, we carried out keyword research to find opportunities at both local and wider geographical levels.
The plan was to rewrite and restructure key pages, build new content to cover gaps in our SEO coverage, and strengthen the site’s authority. At the same time, we’d also be cleaning up technical SEO issues, improving on-page structure, and creating internal links that guide users more effectively. To support long-term growth, we looked to build high-quality backlinks while disavowing harmful ones that could damage performance.
We began with extensive keyword research, looking not just at search demand but also at competitor terms we could target. This gave us a clearer map of where Pocket Creatives could win visibility.
Next, we rewrote the copy on key money pages to better match user intent, making the content sharper, more direct, and easier to digest. To strengthen topical authority, we added supporting content around video production and photography, while also creating new pages aimed at commercial keywords that would drive clicks and conversions.
We listed the site on relevant directories to support local visibility, and built out internal links and funnels to guide users through the site. By using our specialist tools, we also flagged technical issues and worked with the development team to resolve them, ensuring that the site had a stronger base for growth.

Keyword growth was one of the clearest signs of progress. The total number of ranking keywords more than doubled, climbing from 207 to 487. Page one positions rose from 11 to 30, a 173% increase, while Pocket Creatives also secured nine top-three rankings and now appears in 38 SERP features, compared with just two before.


Google Analytics backed this up with strong traffic and engagement gains. Total users grew from 851 to 1,375 (up by 62%), with new users up by 60% and returning users up by 37%. Event counts increased from 4,928 to 8,608, and key conversion events rose from 39 to 62, a 59% lift. Average engagement time improved by 13%, showing visitors were spending longer on the site.

Search Console also confirmed the improvements in visibility. Clicks rose from 639 to 917, while impressions jumped from 184K to more than 609K. Average position improved from 47.6 to 42, marking steady upward movement across competitive keywords.

Overall, the combined impact of keyword growth, stronger traffic, and improved visibility shows that Pocket Creatives has moved into a much stronger position online. The site is now ranking for more relevant terms, drawing in higher-quality visitors, and turning more of them into conversions. With a solid technical base and clear gains across both Analytics and Search Console, Pocket Creatives is set up for sustained growth in a competitive market.
The next phase of work focuses on strengthening what we’ve built. We’ll continue with content rewrites on new pages and refresh content that isn’t performing as well as expected.
