Multiquip UK Project Overview

Name:

Multiquip UK

Industry:

eCommerce

Services:

SEO

Duration:

ON-GOING PROJECT

Trigger Date:

September 2025

The Challenge

Multiquip Inc. (UK), an e-commerce brand in the construction equipment space, wanted to scale up their online visibility and performance. The goals were clear: increase total clicks, boost overall traffic, and grow keyword rankings — particularly page one visibility. They also wanted to drive more measurable engagement in the form of event counts, helping to tie SEO improvements directly to business results.

However, website builder limitations would make technical and content improvements harder to implement, and restrict what could be done as regards optimisation. To deliver results, we needed to find workarounds that made the most of the existing setup, while planning for a future migration to a more flexible platform.

The Strategy

We put together a strategy that balanced tactical improvements with long-term planning. The first step was extensive keyword research, giving us a roadmap for targeting both commercial and informational queries. From there, we re-optimised product listing pages, created new content designed to funnel users toward those listings, and addressed as many technical SEO issues as the platform would allow.

At the same time, we produced informational guides to build topical authority and attract users earlier in their buying journey. A robust backlinking strategy was also implemented to strengthen domain authority, and competitor research helped us spot opportunities to improve SEO further, and refine targeting.

The Execution

Our execution focused on making every improvement count. Product listing pages were updated and supported with content designed to drive relevance and conversions. We also developed evergreen guides and topics that positioned Multiquip as a trusted source of knowledge while funnelling readers towards the product pages.

Technical fixes were implemented where possible to improve site health and performance, and competitor research shaped keyword targeting to ensure the site stayed competitive in a crowded niche for e-commerce. Lastly, an array of high-quality backlinks were also built, giving the site stronger Domain Authority and ranking potential.

The Results

Multiquip UK’s goals were to increase clicks, traffic, event counts, and page one keyword rankings. Let’s see how we did against those goals, with the help of some real-world data from the project…

Goal: Increased clicks

Starting off with a quick win here. The screenshot below shows that:

  • We did achieve the goal set, as Multiquip UK earned more clicks during the six months spanning March 22 – September 21, 2025, than they did during the six months before that.
  • They also earned more impressions during that same period, and

The average ranking position of a Multiquip UK page climbed from 27th to 24th.

Site Clicks and Visibility Metrics

Goal: Increased traffic & event counts

Again, we can report success here. As the screenshot below shows:

  • The number of ‘Total Users’ has increased by 3%.
  • The number of ‘New Users’ has increased by 5%.
  • The 156% growth in site event count.

However, we also want to mention the 55% uptick in ‘engaged sessions per active user’, indicating that the traffic we are getting is also engaging with the site much more than before.

Core Site Analytics

Goal: Increased number of page one rankings

The two screenshots below show the keyword rankings that Multiquip UK had earned at project start, and at the time of producing this case study. As you can see when we compare them, we have achieved the goal set, as Multiquip now has 96 page one rankings (as compared with 89 at project start). That’s an 8% increase.

What's Next

The project is ongoing, and the next big step will be migrating Multiquip’s website to an updated platform, removing current builder limitations and unlocking further growth potential. Alongside this, we’ll continue monitoring and fixing technical issues, refreshing underperforming pages, and expanding keyword targeting with fresh research. Competitor analysis will remain an important part of all of this, ensuring Multiquip maintains its edge as we push for stronger performance across the UK market.
