Project Duration:

17 months

Case Study Trigger Date:

SEPTEMBER 2025

The Challenge

BPS wanted to grow its online presence and attract more qualified traffic. The goals were clear: increase overall users, clicks, and conversions while pushing more keywords onto page one and improving their average ranking positions.

The site also needed to expand its keyword footprint and compete more strongly for high-value search terms. At the same time, accuracy was critical — as a security consultancy, all content had to be carefully checked to avoid spreading misinformation on sensitive topics. Another challenge was to steer clear of terms linked to physical security guards, which could attract the wrong type of traffic and dilute lead quality.

The Strategy

We started by reviewing BPS’s existing site to see where it was underperforming and where risks might exist. That meant auditing content for accuracy, checking how competitors in the security sector were winning traffic, and mapping out opportunities through detailed keyword research.

From there, we laid out a plan to strengthen the foundations for SEO. Core pages would be rewritten for clarity and authority, and new content would be developed to expand keyword coverage without drifting into irrelevant terms. Technical SEO fixes were lined up to improve site health, and internal structure was adjusted to make navigation more efficient.

To build authority, we targeted high-quality backlinks from trusted sources while also disavowing links that could harm credibility. Together, these steps were designed to give BPS not just higher rankings, but the right kind of visibility — bringing in qualified visitors who matched up well with their services.

The Execution

Our first step was a deep keyword analysis, looking at both untapped search opportunities and competitor terms that could be adapted for use by BPS. This gave us a clearer direction on where the site could win qualified traffic.

We then rewrote the main pages with user intent in mind, making the copy sharper, easier to read, and directly aligned with the services BPS provides. To strengthen topical authority, we built out supporting content around physical security themes, carefully selecting cluster keywords that matched their consultancy focus while avoiding irrelevant terms.

On the technical side, we listed the site on relevant directories to improve visibility and used specialist tools to uncover issues affecting performance. Working closely with the development team, we resolved these problems to give the website a cleaner, more reliable base for long-term growth.

The Results

BPS achieved major gains in both visibility and conversions. Keyword growth was the standout result, with total ranking keywords jumping from 88 to 529 — a 501% increase. Page one positions rose from just 3 to 50, and the site now holds nine top-three ranking keywords along with 71 SERP features (where they had just one previously).

Core Site Analytics

Google Analytics confirmed traffic and engagement improvements. Total users climbed from 1,646 to 3,713, a 126% increase, while new users rose by 126% and returning users by 129%. Event counts more than doubled to 24,679, and key conversions grew from 16 to 63, a 294% increase. Average engagement time also improved slightly, showing visitors were spending more time with our content.

Search Console’s data also backed the search visibility improvements of BPS. Clicks grew from 351 to 954, and impressions rose from 50.9K to 391K. Average position improved from 40.4 to 31.5, showing steady upward momentum in competitive rankings.

Site Clicks and Visibility Metrics

These results show that BPS is not only driving more traffic, but also attracting the right kind of users — those converting into meaningful actions. With strong keyword growth, improved rankings, and better on-site engagement, BPS is now far more visible and effective in reaching its audience.
